Kuta is the classic beginner spot. Soft sandy waves that are easy to catch. Gets extremely crowded though, especially in the afternoon. Morning sessions are best.

This is where my surf journey started! The long gentle waves are perfect for learning. The sunset from the beach is unforgettable. Highly recommend for first-timers.
